Next Monday, students will begin their 5-day swimming program at Casey ARC!
Please ensure students bring a clearly named swimming bag each day containing:
• Towel
• Spare socks and underwear
• A bag for wet clothing
• Thongs or Crocs
• Goggles and a swimming cap (encouraged)
Students are encouraged to wear their bathers underneath their school uniform to make changing quicker and maximise their time in the pool.
If you have a spare school uniform at home, we also recommend keeping a spare set in your child’s bag for the week, just in case anything is forgotten or misplaced.
Students may leave their school shoes at school and wear thongs or Crocs to and from Casey ARC.
We’re looking forward to a fun week of swimming! 🏊‍♀️

On Friday, our Grade 3/4 students took part in an exciting Seaweed Sally Incursion, linked to their Inquiry unit all about the Great Barrier Reef!
Students explored a range of preserved marine animals, learning where they came from, their unique features and some of the threats they face in their natural environments. They also had the opportunity to get hands-on with an interactive touch tank and experience some incredible marine life up close!
Our students absolutely loved this fun, hands-on learning experience and the opportunity to bring their Great Barrier Reef learning to life! 🐠🪸🌊

Students proudly showcased their adapted dinosaur projects, explaining how their creatures would survive in new habitats using a range of physical and behavioural adaptations. It was fantastic to see how confidently they could explain their scientific thinking and how much learning, creativity and effort had gone into their work. A huge thank you to all of the families who came along to celebrate their achievements with us! 🦖🦕

This term in Inquiry, our Grade 1/2 students have been exploring toys and how they move. Throughout the unit, students investigated different types of toys and learnt how push and pull forces can make objects move, change direction and work in different ways.

Students then became toy designers themselves! Using everything they had learnt, they planned, designed and created their very own push or pull toy, thinking carefully about how their toy would move.

Last week, we welcomed families, staff and students into our classrooms to explore our finished toys and have a go at using them!
It was wonderful to see our Grade 1/2 students proudly sharing their creations and learning with our school community.
