Next week we will be having our Father's & Special Others, FATHER'S DAY STALL. - Wed 2nd September 2026.
Gifts are $5 each and students may purchase a maximum of 2 gifts on the day. CASH ONLY on the day.

We will have a catch up morning on Thursday 3rd September for those who were absent from school on Tue 2nd or for those who wish to purchase another gift.

We will be having a Book Week Parade on the day.

Our Year 6 Market Day is on Tuesday 15th September.

Students may bring up to $10 cash to spend on the day.

There will be a variety of different games and food stalls.

Playgroup tomorrow, Tuesday 25th August - Book Week Theme.
We invite children aged 0-5 to dress up as their favourite book character for Playgroup.
Gold coin to participate.

📣Community call out for donations🤞🏻 Does anyone have any outdoor paint they can donate to the school for us to paint our new veggie boxes in a base coat. 🎨🖌

Students will then be painting some designs on the top and they will then be filled.

I have attached a sample picture of what the design may look like when they are completed, although the boxes we will have are taller.

**Reminder to RSVP BY 19th August**

The Fathering Project is focused on improving child outcomes by supporting and equipping fathers & father figures to be more engaged, confident, and emotionally present. We understand that
families come in all different forms.
We invite our Thomas Mitchell Community to a "dad" and child
event.
Dads, grandfathers, uncles, older brothers, father figures, even mums, can come along and join us for a Winter Soup & Stories Night.
When: Monday 24th August
Time: 5.30pm -7pm
Venue: Thomas Mitchell Primary School - In the Library
Bring along your favourite story and teddy, enjoy some soup, stories and fun!
Come dressed in your winter woollies or PJs, bring your own bean bags (optional)
This is a FREE event!
Soups on offer will be chicken noodle soup, pumpkin soup, red lentil dahl. As well as tuna and rice cups, fruit cups and of course some popcorn!
We would love to see you there!
