Huge thanks to the team at the Sydney Opera House for providing an incredible behind-the-scenes technical tour for our VET Entertainment students yesterday!

A special shout-out to Head of Lighting Matt, the lighting team, and Nepean alumni trainees Jenna and Paige. It was an awesome moment for our students to see Nepean CAPA High School alumni thriving in the industry. Jenna helping lead the tour as a 2nd-year trainee and Paige connecting with the group for a brief audio session.

Our students got a hands-on look at the various technical departments across the venue, capped off with the unforgettable opportunity to operate followspots high above the Concert Hall. Opportunities like this bridge the gap between classroom training and industry practice, inspiring the next generation of production technicians.
Thank you to everyone involved for giving back to VET Entertainment and supporting future industry talent!

✨🎪 Congratulations to our 2026 Southern Stars Circus Team! 🎪✨

What an incredible week in Wollongong! Our Nepean Circus students delivered outstanding performances at the WIN Entertainment Centre, showcasing their skill, strength, creativity and professionalism on the Southern Stars stage. 🌟

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, teamwork and energy you brought to every rehearsal and performance. You represented Nepean CAPA with pride and were an absolute joy to watch! ❤️

And, of course, we couldn’t let Southern Stars pass without continuing one of our favourite traditions! Between performances, the Nepean Circus Team headed to the beach for our annual handstand photos by the ocean. 🌊🤸✨

A huge thank you to Southern Stars – The Arena Spectacular for having us again in 2026. We loved every moment of being part of such an amazing production! 🎪🌟

Yesterday, both our girls and boys U15s basketball teams attended the Final 8 of the Sydney West Basketball Competition. 🏀

Both teams had an incredible day, progressing through to the semi-finals undefeated. They continued through, winning their semi-finals to progress to the Grand Final. 🎉🏀

Our girls team won their Grand Final against Hills Sports High School in a fantastic game, taking 1st place in Sydney West. Our boys had a great game in their Grand Final, going down in a close match against Blaxland to take 2nd place in Sydney West. 🏀 🥇🥈👏

Both teams now progress through to the CHS Sub-Regional Competition in a few weeks! This is an excellent achievement, and all players should be extremely proud.🏀

Well done to both the girls and boys teams, and to our super coach, Mr Barry! 👏

We are incredibly proud of two of our students who recently represented Nepean CAPA High School at the NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association Gymnastics Championship! 🌟

🏆 IEU Sporting Success! 🏀🎳

It has been a fantastic few weeks of sport for our Inclusive Education Unit!

Last Wednesday, Daniel, Lillie, Keeley and Liam represented Nepean CAPA High School at the 2026 ISS Tenpin Bowling Competition. All four students played exceptionally well, with everyone exceeding their individual goal of 100 in the second game! 🎳👏

As a team, Nepean CAPA High School finished an impressive 6th out of 31 NSW Secondary School teams. What an achievement! 🌟

Then on Friday, our IEU team competed in the first round of the IEU Inter-school Friendship Cup, a new initiative between Cambridge Park HS, Jamison HS and Nepean CAPA HS. Our team of nine students demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork and improving basketball skills. 🏀
They played two 20-minute games, scoring 8 points against Cambridge Park HS and 4 points against Jamison HS.

A special shout-out to our students cheering from the sidelines — their support for all teams was second to none! 🙌

We are incredibly proud of our students and the positive attitude, teamwork and sportsmanship they displayed throughout the week.
