What are your Musical Monkeys up to during the School Holidays?
I've been considering putting together a music therapy group for children within the NDIS. The groups would focus on:
-Social Skills - conversational skills, sharing, turn taking, listening.
-Making friends through making music
-Equipping kids with Emotional Regulation techniques
- Using a range of musical instruments and technology to meet the needs of all kiddos.
I have the capacity to see 3 children at a time, unless I hire a Therapy Assistant. Just a show of hands of interest?

I so hear and feel this, and have absolute respect to all my clients' families and beyond! This is so hard... Beyond our limits.

When life gets too much for one of her three profoundly autistic sons, Kathrine Peereboom often takes them on a drive to the local park. That's not possible during lockdown.

Brilliant!! Thanks to the wonderful late, Richard Gill 😭 for this pilot school and hopefully many to follow in recognising that all parts of the brain are activated whilst playing music! Yay!
Kiddos must be so happy too!! 😁
