The goal isn’t to raise a kid who is perfectly behaved, never talks back, or always does exactly what they’re told.

The goal is to raise a kid who is kind, confident, funny, respectful, emotionally aware, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. ❤️

Because one day, your child won’t be your little kid anymore. They’ll be an adult you get to have a relationship with.

So yes, teach the manners. Set the boundaries. Hold the expectations.

But also… laugh with them. Listen to them. Let them be weird. Give them a voice. Make home a place they actually enjoy being.

You’re not just raising a child. You’re raising the person you’ll someday sit across the table from. 🥹

Not every struggling relationship SHOULD be saved.
