Today we were pleased to welcome Director-General Sharon Schimming and Deputy Director-General Leanne Nixon to Emerald North State School.

Thank you to our School Captains for their wonderful welcome and for representing our school so proudly.

During their visit, Sharon and Leanne spent time in our Prep classrooms, P–2C class and ECDP, seeing the great learning and engagement happening across our school.

2B have been having lots of fun with hands on maths lately.

We had a fruit fraction picnic, made fairy bread and cut it into fractions and made paper pizzas and cut them into fractions. We also have been looking at informal units of measurement by using a range of materials to measure ourselves and other objects.

Today we say a temporary goodbye to the wonderful Miss Kristy Rodway as she begins her maternity leave! 👶🍼✨

Kristy has given so much care, energy and dedication to our students and the Emerald North community, and we are incredibly thankful for everything she has brought to our school.

We hope you have the most amazing time, Kristy. Enjoy every cuddle, every special moment and this exciting new chapter with your family. 💕
