In this first clip from my conversation with Jeremy on ABC Capricornia Radio, we discuss the Senate Inquiry into pregnancy, perinatal and postnatal care, and why it's so important that regional mothers have their voices heard.
As most of you know, accessing support after having a baby can look very different outside the major cities.
Jeremy asked me:
"What experiences do regional mothers need to make sure politicians know about?"
I share some of the challenges many rural and regional families face, including limited access to services, long waiting lists, travel distances, out-of-pocket costs, and the digital divide that can make accessing support even harder.
If you feel comfortable sharing, what challenges did you face accessing pregnancy, birth, or postnatal support in your community? I'd love to hear your experience in the comments below. ⬇️
I can't wait to share the rest of this interview with you! Come back tomorrow for the next question.
