βπ Year 12 Outdoor & Environmental Studies Excursion πβ
Last week, our Year 12 Outdoor and Environmental Studies students travelled into Docklands to board the iconic MV Steve Irwin as special guests.
The now-retired βeco battleshipβ played a major role in Sea Shepherdβs campaigns to end whaling in the Southern Ocean, physically placing itself between whaling ships and the whales they were protecting.
As part of their studies into environmental conflicts and activism, students explored the different ways groups influence environmental decisions and the lengths some are willing to go to in support of their conservation beliefs.
It was a fascinating and thought-provoking experience that brought classroom learning to life and encouraged students to reflect on passion, courage and environmental responsibility. π

πͺ¨πΏ Year 9/10 Outdoor Education β Caving Adventure! πΏπͺ¨
Our Year 9/10 Outdoor Education class recently enjoyed an exciting caving experience at Shiprock Falls in Gembrook. Students were challenged both physically and mentally as they explored the caves, worked together as a team, and pushed themselves outside of their comfort zones.
It was fantastic to see everyone supporting one another throughout the day, with many students demonstrating resilience, courage, teamwork, and a willingness to embrace new experiences. Experiences like these help build confidence, problem-solving skills, and strong connections with peers while enjoying the great outdoors.
A fantastic effort by all students involved! π
