Initial Setup

Last week we started one of my music logic piano students who is a 12 year old girl. She held the clave rhythm superbly while all the other percussion instruments played with her. Our 12 yo boy now has progressed on every instrument and now knows 4 different rythms on congas. These kids will be our next generation of cuban musicians, taught in the correct way by the best. Very exciting. Can't wait for classes tomorrow with panga.

We started 2 new conga students this last week which we are excited about. Our aim is to expand the school in the near future, offering 2 different instruments. We really want to get happening so that students get to explore any aspect of cuban music they wish and enjoy that intoxicating experience of playing with other people.

Pangas expertise and knowledge of cuban music never ceases to amaze me. Its like a bottomless pit. I see all the results of his students progress and its sooo inspiring. Not only do the students understand the technique and timing but know how the rythms all connect and work with each other.
We have been trialling the studio for some time now and we are ready for more students.
Our classes are currently on tuesday and sunday afternoons.
