✨🎄Ladies of Variety Christmas Party! 🎄✨

What an unforgettable day! Today our Disability Unit students had the best day at the annual Variety Christmas party! 🌟

From dancing, face painting, colourful balloons, a special Santa visit 🎅🏾, and even fire trucks lighting up the fun! 🚒✨
Today had it all and definitely sparked the festive spirit 💫🎈

A special shoutout to our incredible staff who made the day absolutely magical ✨💛💙💚

💧🐠Water Safety Fun 🐠💧

This term, our junior primary Disability Unit students have been making a splash at weekly water safety lessons 🐬

It has quickly become the highlight of each week, learning new swimming strokes, practicing safety skills and building confidence in and around the water 🏊‍♀️✨

There has been lots of laughter, learning and tired little legs! 😴

Today we came together to commemorate Remembrance Day with our students leading a short ceremony by our Aleppo pine🌲

Classes learnt about the significance of this important day and created beautiful poppies to honour those who served and sacrificed in armed conflict 🌺❤️

🏃‍♂️💥AFL MAX 💥🏃‍♀️

Over the past few weeks, our Disability Unit has been lucky enough to have the awesome team from AFL MAX visiting us! 🙌

Students have been getting active, building confidence and having so much fun while learning fundamental movement skills - from running, jumping and kicking, to teamwork and resilience 💪🏼✨

A huge thank you to the AFL MAX crew for bringing the energy, smiles and new skills to our students 🏈💛

👻🍬Tricks, Treats & Terrific Doors! 🍬👻

What a spooktacular day! Each class showed off their creativity for our Annual Door Decorating Competition, from creepy to cute, they were all fang-tastic 🎃🕸️

We danced the afternoon away together at our Halloween dance party full of spooky treats and amazing costumes! 🕷️🧡

Thank you to our staff and Governing Council for organising another amazing spooky canteen! 🤩💫

🌟 Terrific Taparra Teachers! 🌟

Today we’re celebrating just how incredible our Taparra teachers are — the heart and soul of our school 💛 From creative lessons, caring conversations and endless support for our students — they truly do it all!

And because they deserve a little mystery and magic… our amazing SSOs surprised staff with a “mystery theme” morning tea 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️ (inspired by the great Taparra mystery of the vanishing forks from the staff room! 🍴🤣)

A huge thank you to our wonderful SSOs for the laughs, the treats and for making our teachers feel so appreciated. What a team! 💛✨

🎨✨ CARCLEW Artist Workshop – A Day of Creativity and Clay! ✨🎨

Today our students had the incredible opportunity to work with a CARCLEW artist in a one-day creative workshop focused on portraiture and sculpture. 🖌️

The day began with students exploring the art of portrait drawing, learning how to capture expression, detail and personality through their sketches. With expert guidance from the artist, everyone discovered new techniques and built confidence in their artistic abilities.

Then came the hands-on excitement — clay modelling! 👩‍🎨👨‍🎨 Students brought their portraits to life in 3D, experimenting with texture and form to create expressive clay sculptures.

We’re so grateful to CARCLEW for bringing this wonderful experience to our school! 🌟👏

Our middle and upper primary students had a surprise today when they returned to school with this beautiful new mural painted by TaylrJay over the holidays! ✨🎨🫟

This mural captures our school name perfectly of “Along the Path” ✨

What an incredible day of energy, teamwork and community spirit at our Sports Day! 🏃‍♀️🏆

💛Congratulations to Kardi for taking home the Spirit Cup with their enthusiasm and teamwork.
💚A huge well done to Ilya, our overall Sports Day winners!

We are so grateful to all our wonderful families for coming along and cheering on our students – your support makes the day so special 💚💛💙❤️

Finally, a very big thank you to our amazing staff, and in particular Mr Ferguson, for the outstanding organisation that made today such a success.

🌟 2025 Aboriginal STEM Congress 🌟

Another year, another STEM congress for our year 5/6 students at Adelaide Oval this week! 🖤💛❤️

This incredible event brought together Aboriginal learners from across the state to explore how culture, knowledge, and connection to Country can be powerful pathways into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) fields. 🧬🔭

💡 Throughout the Congress, students participated in a wide variety of hands-on workshops that celebrated both traditional and modern science. Some highlights included:

🛶 Canoe Creations – students built model canoes and rafts, exploring how Aboriginal people used scientific thinking to travel across waterways.
🦎 Interactive Wildlife – a chance to meet and learn about Australia’s amazing native animals up close, including lizards, snakes and crocodiles!
🤖 Team Freeze Tag – robotics meets teamwork as students coded their own bots and learned how engineering and Aboriginal innovation go hand in hand.

We are so proud of our students for representing our school with enthusiasm, curiosity and pride. 💪📚
