🎭✨ Seussical the Musical is officially in full swing!

What an incredible start to our production journey! A huge thank you to The University of Newcastle, Australia students for leading an amazing first-day bootcamp, filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and plenty of theatrical fun.

Our students are embracing every challenge, building their confidence, developing their performance skills, and bringing the wonderful world of Seussical to life. We can’t wait to see how the show grows from here!

In Stage 1 High Potential Creative Arts, students have been learning about Claude Monet and the Impressionist movement.

They practised Impressionist-style brushstrokes to create beautiful 3D lilies inspired by Monet’s famous water lily paintings.

Students then experimented with watercolours and oil pastels to create their own Impressionist artworks, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of our nature playground.

KD love reading, writing and spelling!
During Term 2 we have increased our knowledge and skills in phonics.

We continue to progress with reading our Little Learners decodable texts, remembering heart words and spelling consonant/vowel/consonant words.

Using a variety of resources and activities helps to embed the learning. We use sorting cards, bingo games, guided reading, whiteboards, writing books and collaborative tasks in our explicit teaching and learning each day.

Today KD invited Tilly to visit their classroom.
They have been learning how to approach dogs safely.
Tilly was so excited to see her KD friends and they all created beautiful pictures for her to keep.
