We are incredibly proud to celebrate Aysha, who was recognised with an Academic Excellence Award at ๐ฆ๐๐ฅโ๐ ๐ก๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ โ ๐ฑ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐น๐, held on Gugingin Country at Beenleigh State High School.
The evening was a celebration of culture, connection and community, honouring the voices, stories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
Ayshaโs award represents the dedication, perseverance and curiosity she brings to her learning every day. It also reflects the importance of creating a school environment where students are known as individuals, challenged to achieve their personal best, supported throughout their journey and celebrated for their success.
As we recognise 50 years of NAIDOC, we are reminded of the importance of listening, learning and walking together with respect and purpose.
Congratulations, Aysha. Your achievement is an inspiration to our entire Elanora community.
A great opportunity for Year 10-12 who enjoy speaking on topics they are passionate about. ๐ฃ๏ธ

At Elanora State High School, success is about more than performance on the field. Itโs about developing the discipline, resilience and confidence that allows our students to thrive in every aspect of life.
Throughout this term, our Year 10 Sport Academy students have been training at The Shake UP , exploring the importance of fitness, strength and conditioning while developing the physical and mental skills required to achieve their personal best.
These authentic experiences provide students with opportunities to challenge themselves, build resilience and grow not only as athletes, but as confident young people.
A huge thank you to Ben and the team at The Shake Up for supporting our students and providing this valuable learning opportunity.
Because every challenge is an opportunity to grow, improve and discover what is possible.

We were honoured to host the annual Gold Coast Science and Engineering Challenge, presented by the The University of Newcastle, Australia in partnership with Griffith University Science on the GO and the Rotary Club of Ashmore .
The event brought together 16 schools from across the region for a day of innovation, collaboration and hands-on STEM challenges. Students were immersed in activities that required them to think critically, solve complex problems, apply engineering principles and work effectively as a team.
Our students demonstrated outstanding creativity, resilience and problem-solving skills throughout the competition, showcasing the high standard of STEM learning at ESHS. The excitement of the final bridge testing challenge created a fantastic atmosphere and highlighted the ingenuity and determination of all participants.
Hosting an event of this scale was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our school, our facilities and our commitment to future-focused learning. It was inspiring to see our campus filled with energy, curiosity and enthusiasm as students explored the real-world applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
At Elanora, we believe learning is most powerful when students can apply their knowledge, work collaboratively and see the possibilities for their future.

Congratulations to our Year 9 & 10 boys basketball team who participated in the CBSQ wildcard competition last week in Logan. The boys played excellent team basketball and have qualified for the next stage, the CBSQ Shield competition in August. This is the first time an ESHS team has reached this stage. Well done team!

For our Year 11 and 12 Physics students, it meant collecting real world data aboard some of Australia's most iconic rollercoasters during a recent excursion at Warner Bros. Movie World - Gold Coast, Australia .
Students applied classroom concepts including Newton's Laws of Motion, energy transformations, momentum, circular motion and g-forces while using accelerometers to measure and analyse the forces experienced throughout the rides. By gathering and interpreting authentic scientific data, students were able to connect theory with real-world application in a meaningful and memorable way.
Experiences like these demonstrate our commitment to providing learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, empowering students to develop critical thinking, analytical skills and a deeper understanding of how science and engineering shape the world around us. ๐ข
