On Wednesday 19th November, Chappy Rob and Mrs Cherie Hall (Student Engagement Teacher) attended the Community Partner Connect event run by Community Bank Tugun, branch of Bendigo Bank. Elanora State School was in the ‘Spotlight’ and were the main focus of the Q&A session. Chappy Rob and Mrs Hall were interviewed by a board member about their roles at ESS and on the collaboration between Fight 4 Youth and Elanora State School. Many community members and business owners were present and the event highlighted how Community Bank Tugun help many groups and organisations within our local community.

Thanks to the continued support of Community Bank Tugun (Bendigo Bank), Elanora State School has Chappy Rob (School Chaplain) as part of our Student Wellbeing and Engagement Team four days per week. The Community Grant, which was applied for through our P & C, has allowed Rob to be in our school for more than one day per week (as is funded by the Government). This extra time is used to run a range of targeted intervention programs and also allows our team to focus on the needs of our students instead of ongoing fundraising efforts. We are so grateful for the support of the Community Bank Tugun.

We want say a huge thank you to the amazing volunteers who signed up to help run the Father’s Day stall this year ( ). A few hours here and there add up and are an enormous help. My team (looking at you Kate Lich) spends hours and hours preparing for this stall, and on behalf of our whole school community I want to publicly say thank you for all you have done.

We are also grateful to our sponsors: Jetprintz (who make our annual Father’s Day banner for all those special photos), Kmart at the Pines (who donate vouchers), and Liberated Brands - keeping our ocean loving dads stocked with surf wax!

And one final mention - to Briony Hardcastle , you are now coming to the end of your primary school journey with your children, but you have been a long time volunteer and still show up to help whenever you can - and are a huge help with donations too. Briony, you are an absolute legend. Thank you.
