Are you a small business owner looking for clarity and needing a dose of Inspiration?
Join us Wednesday 14th October as inspires us to Create the life you want - Leave a Legacy You’re Proud Of

Most business owners spend years building their business, but very little time getting clear on the life they actually want that business to create.

They become busy, successful and constantly needed. Yet somewhere along the way, the business can begin controlling their life instead of supporting it.

Create the Life You Want - Leave a Legacy You’re Proud Of is a thought-provoking and highly interactive presentation that challenges people to step back from the busyness and look honestly at where their life and business are taking them.

This is not simply another motivational presentation.

This week’s networking meeting will be a good one. Message me if you’re a business owner and would like to come along

If you've ever wondered why your marketing feels busier than ever but your pipeline stays quiet, this session is for you.

Leanne Cohens has been helping businesses navigate marketing change for over 13 years on the Gold Coast and across Australia. She's built and run businesses through the Yellow Pages era, the social media era, and now the AI era, which means she doesn't just talk about what's changing. She's lived every shift from both sides of the desk.

At BEN, Leanne is presenting Marketing in the Age of AI: a practical, straight-talking session covering three things quietly costing most businesses clients right now, including why 62% of businesses doing SEO correctly are invisible to AI search, why your website might be turning visitors away before a single conversation starts, and why more content without a system is just noise.

Every attendee leaves with three practical actions they can take that week. No tech background required.

Leanne Cohens nne is the founder of Marketing Leap , host of the Digital Success for Business Podcast, and President of the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce.

This will be a great session. Message me if you would like to come as my guest

We’re excited to welcome back next week! 🙌

Holly joined us a little while ago and we enjoyed her session so much that we had to ask her back!

This time, she’ll be talking about Mood Decision Cycles™ and asking an interesting question:

What if your buyers aren’t saying no… you’re just asking at the wrong time?

We often forget that our buyers are human. Their mood, headspace and what’s happening in their lives can all influence how open they are to making a decision.

In this interactive session, Holly will introduce Mood Decision Cycles™ and help you look at your buyers differently so you can better understand when they’re naturally more open to buying and show up with the right message, at the right time.

Open to members and guests. Come along, bring your questions and get ready to think differently about how your customers make decisions.

📢 Paying staff from 1 July 2026? Don't forget about Payday Super.

A significant payroll change is beginning, and every employer should be aware of it.

Under Payday Super, super contributions will need to be received by your employee's super fund within 7 business days of payday.

One important point that catches many businesses out is this:

👉 If you use payroll software such as Xero or MYOB, simply processing payroll isn't enough. Super payments need time to move through the clearing house and be allocated to employees' super funds.

For many businesses, the safest approach is to authorise and pay the super on payday. Waiting a few days after processing payroll could leave you at risk of missing the 7-business-day deadline.

Now is a good time to review your payroll process and make sure you're ready.

Have you updated your payroll routine for Payday Super?

Probably not! 😊

That's one of the topics I'll be discussing at BEN - Business Expansion Network next week, where I'll be sharing how the right financial support, systems and processes can help business owners save time, improve cash flow and stay in control of their business.

I'm looking forward to an interactive discussion and sharing some real-world examples from businesses I've worked with over the years.

Do you know your business cash position right now?

Not just what's in the bank account, but:

✔ What invoices are still outstanding
✔ What bills are due soon
✔ Whether you've set aside enough for BAS and super
✔ What your cashflow will look like over the coming weeks

Many business owners are busy serving customers and managing staff, but don't always have a clear picture of their cashflow.

I've created a free Cashflow Clarity Checklist that takes about 15 minutes to complete and can help you identify potential issues before they become bigger problems.

You can download your free copy here:

Three questions every business owner should ask before EOFY...

1️⃣ How profitable has my business actually been this year?
2️⃣ Do I have enough set aside for tax?
3️⃣ Are my bookkeeping records up to date and accurate?

Knowing the answers now gives you time to make informed decisions before 30 June.

Happy to help if anyone needs a hand getting their numbers in order.

📢 What Payday Super Will Mean for Small Business

From 1 July 2026, a new system called Payday Super will change how businesses pay superannuation.

Instead of paying super quarterly, employers will need to pay super at the same time as wages — within 7 business days of each pay day.

For many small businesses, this will mean a shift in how payroll and cash flow are managed. Super will become part of the regular payroll process rather than a quarterly task.

Some things businesses may need to review before the change:
✔ Payroll systems and processes
✔ Cash flow planning
✔ Ensuring super payments are processed and cleared on time
✔ Making sure accounting software and clearing houses are set up correctly

It may seem a long way away, but reviewing your payroll systems early can make the transition much smoother.

If you’d like help getting your payroll processes ready for these upcoming changes, feel free to send me a message.
