This week, the Civil Train team visited Western Downs Civil (WDC) in Chinchilla and what a great opportunity to celebrate their recent success!
WDC were recently recognised with the Outstanding Commitment to Training and Development (Employer) Award at the Civil Contractors Federation - Queensland Excellence in Civil Construction Awards.
From a small three-man, two-vehicle operation, WDC has grown into a leading regional civil contractor with more than 200 employees and their commitment to developing their people has grown right alongside them.
Our Trainer, Neil, and Workforce Training Coordinator, Samantha, spent time on site working closely with the WDC team training students, reviewing and updating training plans, assessing training needs and, most importantly, continuing the conversation about how we can best support their workforce.
Our collaboration with WDC is ongoing. We’re constantly working together to make sure their training is relevant, effective and aligned with the skills their people and business need to succeed.
Congratulations again to the entire WDC team on this well-deserved recognition! We’re proud to be part of the journey and look forward to continuing to support the development of their people.
