🎤🎸 MAESTRO 2026 – TWO NIGHTS OF INCREDIBLE MUSIC! 🎶✨

What a fantastic showcase of talent at Maestro 2026, with our student musicians taking to the stage across two exciting nights of live performance! 💙❤️

Audiences were treated to an outstanding celebration of music featuring our contemporary music ensembles and vocalists, alongside performances from our talented instrumental ensembles. From energetic rock and pop numbers to polished ensemble performances, our students demonstrated incredible skill, confidence and passion for music. 🎹🥁🎷🎻

Maestro is a wonderful opportunity for students to share the results of their hard work and rehearsal, while experiencing the excitement of performing live for family, friends and our school community.

A huge congratulations to all of our performers, music staff and everyone who helped bring Maestro 2026 to life. Two brilliant nights and a fantastic celebration of music at Rochedale SHS! 👏🌟

🏆🦏 RHINO RALLY – TERM 3 ACHIEVERS! 🦏🏆

We recently held our third Rhino Rally for 2026, proudly celebrating students who have demonstrated achievement, growth, character and a positive contribution to our Rochedale SHS community. ✨💙❤️

Throughout Term 3, students were recognised across our Heart of the Rhino, Charge of the Rhino, and Spirit of the Rhino — each acknowledging the different ways our students demonstrate the qualities we value as a school.

It was fantastic to see so many students recognised! 👏 Their achievements are a wonderful reflection of the Grit, Growth and Gratitude that continue to shine across our school community.

A huge congratulations to RAS Netball athlete Isabella Golding on achieving her National C Badge for umpiring! 👏🎉

Isabella was recently awarded her National C Badge as part of her ongoing umpiring development with Underwood Park Netball Association.

Umpiring is an important part of Isabella’s development within the sport and demonstrates her commitment to netball both as an athlete and an official.

🎓 POST-SCHOOL OPTIONS FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITY – FAMILY WORKSHOP

A friendly reminder that bookings are now open for our Life After School Parent Workshop, being held next week at Rochedale State High School.

Families will have the opportunity to hear from specialist services, explore employment and further education pathways, ask questions and make valuable connections to support their young person’s transition beyond school.

🏓🏆 NATIONAL CHAMPION – TABLE TENNIS! 🏆🏓

A huge congratulations to Lucas Green, who was crowned U19 Men’s Singles National Champion at the 2026 National Championships in Goulburn, NSW. 🥇🇦🇺

Competing against some of the best young table tennis players in the country, Lucas produced an outstanding tournament to claim the national title as a 17 year old — an incredible achievement and a fantastic reward for his skill, dedication and hard work. 👏🔥

Lucas is also currently ranked an impressive #6 in Queensland for Open Men’s, highlighting the exceptional level at which he is already competing.

Congratulations, Lucas! We are incredibly proud to see you achieving at the national level and representing Rochedale SHS with distinction. 💙❤️

🎓✨ CELEBRATING OUR 2026 QATSIF GRADUATES! ✨🎓

On Tuesday, our First Nations Year 12 QATSIF Graduates were recognised at a prestigious graduation ceremony held at Griffith University, Nathan Campus. ❤️💙

The event celebrated an incredible 2,300 QATSIF Graduates across Queensland in 2026, marking an important milestone for students as they complete their secondary schooling and look ahead to the next chapter of their journey. 🎉👏

A very special shout-out goes to our own Isabelle Dunne, who had the honour of serving as MC for the event. Isabelle represented her culture, Rochedale State High School and herself with tremendous pride, confidence and professionalism. 🌟🎤

Our Student Council is proud to be leading Epilepsy Awareness Day at Rochedale State High School this Friday! 🟣

Students and staff are encouraged to wear a purple ribbon to help raise awareness, show support and start important conversations about epilepsy within our school community.

🏆🎮 MARIO KART CHAMPION – AVA RACES INTO THE STATE FINALS! 🎮🏆

Last Friday, the Rochedale SHS Mario Kart eSports team took on some of the region’s best at the Brisbane Finals of the FUSE Cup, competing against 17 schools and 72 players.

After an exciting day of racing, Ava powered her way into the Grand Final and delivered an outstanding performance when it mattered most. Showing exceptional skill, concentration and composure under pressure, Ava claimed the Brisbane Championship title! 🥇🔥

Her victory has now earned her a place at the FUSE Cup State Finals on the Gold Coast in November, where she will proudly represent Rochedale SHS against the best players from across Queensland.

A huge congratulations to Ava on this fantastic achievement! We are incredibly proud and can’t wait to cheer her on at the State Finals. 💜💛

🏆🐑 EKKA SUCCESS FOR OUR AGRICULTURE SHOW TEAM! 🐝🎉

What an incredible Ekka for the Rochedale SHS Agriculture Show Team, with our students and livestock producing an outstanding collection of results across the sheep and apiculture competitions! 💙❤️

Our Southdown team was a genuine standout, securing an impressive haul of first places, champion and reserve champion titles, including honours for our rams, ewes and breeders group. 🥇🏆 The team also picked up strong results with our Suffolk sheep, adding further placings to a fantastic overall campaign.

These results are a tremendous reflection of the countless hours of preparation, animal care, training and teamwork that go into competing at this level. To achieve such outstanding results on the Ekka stage is something our students and staff can be enormously proud of.
