These results are so much more than a NAPLAN report.
From the very beginning, I could see this student's potential. Their curiosity, problem-solving and ability to think deeply were always there, even when school reports and standardised assessments didn't fully reflect what they were capable of.
Like many students with a diagnosis, showing what they truly know in a timed testing environment can be a challenge. Ability and performance aren't always the same thing.
Over the past few years, we've worked consistently—not just on literacy and numeracy, but on the skills that help students access what they already know. We focused on quick-thinking strategies, exam techniques, confidence under pressure, and learning how to navigate the demands of standardised testing.
This year, everything came together.
Seeing these results isn't about a number or a band. It's about watching a student finally demonstrate the ability I have always known they possessed.
Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. Every child deserves someone who believes in their potential before the data does.
Congratulations to this incredible student—you've worked so hard, and I couldn't be prouder. 💚
