For more than 45 years, the children Anastasia taught became her own. Across Moorabbin, Cheltenham, Highett, Mentone, Sandringham, Bentleigh & now Edithvale, Anastasia has inspired generations of students with her passion for the Greek language and her unwavering dedication to teaching. ✨
Never one to seek recognition, Anastasia has always led with determination, strength, & kindness. After leaving her homeland of Cyprus and arriving in Australia on her 21st birthday, she built an extraordinary legacy, one that has seen her teach not only first generations of Greek Australians, but second, third, and even fourth generations (some of the same families). That is a legacy few can ever hope to achieve. Schools can be established, but they cannot replicate the decades of dedication, love, passion, and unwavering commitment that our Principal and the founder of Alpha Greek School has poured into every lesson and every student.
She has devoted her heart & soul to preserving our language, culture & community. While these photos capture only a small glimpse of her incredible journey, they reflect a lifetime of dedication and love. ♥️ 📚
