🐴 Kyogle Show – Bush Ponies 🐴
Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking some of our Tarcoola students to the Kyogle Show to compete in the Bush Ponies section. 🤎
Unfortunately, I had to scratch my own runs for the day as Cash wasn’t feeling 100% in his hind end. With the competition being on sand and requiring hard stops and turns, it simply wasn’t worth pushing him. His welfare will always come first, and there will always be another day to compete. ❤️🐴
Back to our Tarcoola kids — I am extremely proud of every single one of them! For some, this was their very first time ever competing on a horse, so there were definitely a few nerves, but they all did absolutely amazing. 🤩
It was so lovely to see the section so well supported, with lots of kiddies and their ponies having a go and enjoying themselves.
A huge thank you to all of the families and friends who came along to support and cheer on our Tarcoola kids. Having so many familiar faces on the sidelines made the day even more special. 🫶🏼
And of course, a big thank you to the Painter family, the judge and all of the volunteers who put their time into making this section happen. 🤎

These horses are such an important part of what we do. They looked after their little riders beautifully and gave our kids the opportunity to get out there, build their confidence and experience the excitement of competing. We couldn’t do days like this without them. 🥹🫶🏼
So proud of our little Tarcoola team. For me, it wasn’t just about the ribbons — it was watching the kids overcome their nerves, support one another, build their confidence and, most importantly, have a go.
What a great day for our Tarcoola kids! 🐴🤎
