What a beautiful spring day for our Level 3 students to take on the challenge at the Interschool Athletics Carnival today! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️☀️
There was plenty of fun, fantastic effort and incredible Eastie spirit throughout the day. We are so proud of the way our students gave everything a go, supported one another and represented Echuca East with pride! 💙❤️

Introducing our 2026 Book of the Year Dhungala Award Winner — Koolyn! ✨

Introducing Our First ‘Book of the Year’ Story! 🌟
Meet Catherine, our 2026 Overall Book of the Year Winner, with her heartfelt and beautifully written story, “The Boy Who Collected Sounds… 🎶”
Catherine’s story captured the judges’ heart with its creativity, imagination and wonderful storytelling. Such an incredible story. Well done Catherine - and thank you for sharing your story with us all.

Book Week at Echuca East 📚✨
It was fantastic to see so many wonderful characters getting around Echuca East on Friday as we celebrated this year’s Book Week! What a fabulous day it was, filled with characters, smiles, colour and plenty of laughter!

Highlights included our spectacular Book Week Parade, the announcement of our 2026 Book of the Year Award winners, and our special Buddy Reading, where students proudly shared their very own picture storybooks with their buddies. We also loved seeing the creativity in our fabulous classroom doorways, the excitement of the Book Week Scavenger Hunt, and all the wonderful book-inspired activities happening throughout the school.

A huge thank you to our students, parents and staff for making Book Week such a fun and memorable celebration of reading, creativity and storytelling. 💙❤️📚

🔬✨ Celebrating Science Week! ✨🔬
Our students have been getting curious, creative and hands-on as we celebrate all things science! 🧪🌱🚀 We’ve loved hearing from our students in their videos as they share what they love about science — and seeing their excitement come to life through our hands-on STEM sessions.

One of the highlights has been our Newspaper Bridge Challenge! 📰🌉 Students have been putting their problem-solving, teamwork and engineering skills to the test to see who can build the strongest bridge using newspaper.
We’ve also had plenty of creative fun with our Crazy Scientist Colouring Competition! 🎨🧑‍🔬🌈 We’ve loved seeing the imaginative and colourful creations from our students. We can’t wait to celebrate our challenge and competition winners and hand out prizes at our next assembly! 🏆🎉

A huge shoutout to our students for embracing their curiosity, having a go and showing us that science is so much more than a lesson — it’s about wondering, experimenting, creating and discovering! 💡
