🌊❀️ Life-Saving Skills in E5! ❀️🌊

Our E5 students were lucky enough to welcome Miss Collins into the classroom today for an engaging Surf Life Saving volunteer talk and hands-on first aid demonstration!

Students learnt all about the Surf Life Saving uniform, how they can get involved and join their local Surf Life Saving Club, and the important work that Surf Life Saving Clubs do to keep our communities safe.

The highlight of the session was getting hands-on! Students had the opportunity to practise CPR on a training dummy, learn how to correctly apply bandages, and discover how to safely administer an EpiPen in an emergency.

This visit also connected beautifully with our current Civics and Citizenship learning, as students explored the important role that community organisations and volunteers play in supporting, protecting and strengthening our communities. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to see firsthand how people can contribute to their community, share their skills and make a positive difference to others.

A huge thank you to Miss Collins for sharing her knowledge, experience and passion with our students.

What a fantastic opportunity for E5 to develop practical life-saving skills while learning about the importance of community participation and volunteering! πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸŒŠ

Yesterday, our Year 3 and 4 students had a fantastic time getting out on the green for a fun and engaging golf clinic! 🌟

Our students had the opportunity to learn some new skills, practise their swings and, most importantly, have plenty of fun while giving golf a go! πŸŒοΈβ€β™€οΈπŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ

A huge THANK YOU to Shelley from Golf Australia for organising and running such a wonderful clinic for our students. We really appreciate you sharing your time, knowledge and passion for the sport with our students! πŸ’šβ›³

πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Japanese Cultural Day at Eaton Primary School! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

What an incredible day we shared yesterday celebrating Japanese Cultural Day! 🎌🌸

Our students had a fantastic time immersing themselves in Japanese culture through a range of exciting, hands-on activities including Japanese dance, sushi making, Aikido, karate, Taiko drumming, sumo wrestling, origami, cherry blossom art, Undokai games and koi flag workshops! 🍣πŸ₯‹πŸ₯πŸŽ¨

It was wonderful to see our students embracing every activity with such enthusiasm, curiosity and excitement!

A huge thank you to our wonderful community presenters from Bunbury Kokikai Aikido, Yourturn Events, South West Go Ju Martial Arts and Taiko On for sharing their knowledge, passion and expertise with our students. ❀️

A very special γ‚γ‚ŠγŒγ¨γ† (Arigatou) to Sensei Sinagra for her incredible hard work in planning and organising the day. Your dedication helped make Japanese Cultural Day such a memorable and amazing experience for our students! πŸŒΈπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

🎺🎢 Brass Students in Action! 🎢🎺

Our talented brass students have been working hard throughout the year, developing their playing technique, notation skills and teamwork as an ensemble.

This term, their focus has been on performance readiness, building their confidence and learning how to come together as a team to create great music. We’ve loved watching their skills and confidence grow! πŸ‘βœ¨

Our Year 5 and 6 students have particularly enjoyed working on the classic β€œWhen the Saints Go Marching In”

A huge well done to all of our young musicians for their hard work and dedication. We are so proud of you! πŸ’™πŸŽΆ

πŸ“šβœ¨ A Special Gift for Casuarina 3! βœ¨πŸ“š

This week, the students in Casuarina 3 were delighted to receive their very own copy of the beautiful book Luna Roo, generously donated by Zonta Bunbury.

Lindsey Richmond visited the class to read the story to the students before presenting each child with their own copy to take home. πŸ’›

This wonderful opportunity was organised by Nicki Phelps, a long-term and much-valued volunteer at Eaton Primary School through Hands Up 4 Kids, ensuring every child could enjoy this special story.

Luna Roo is a beautiful tale of courage, teamwork and self-belief, and we hope our students enjoy reading it as much as we did!

A huge thank you to Zonta Bunbury for your incredibly generous donation and to everyone who helped make this possible. πŸ“–πŸ’«
