Thank you to educator/ facilitator Eleanor, for the very informative incursion about water today.
EHPS Stage One children learnt lots of facts about the importance of water, and some useful strategies of how to conserve this precious resource.
Our incursion was free, courtesy of City of Ryde Council, thank you!

5/6A students are actively engaged in researching and planning their wild weather information reports. They are exploring various types of extreme weather events, gathering facts from reliable sources, and organising their findings to create clear and informative reports. This hands-on inquiry helps them develop critical thinking, research skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. Through this project, students gain a deeper understanding of the impact of wild weather on communities and the environment.

As part of our NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week celebrations, students took part in the Dharunga Dance Workshop, where they learnt about Aboriginal culture through dance and storytelling.
Students then participated in a whole-school performance to conclude the day. It was wonderful to see students so engaged in such an enriching and meaningful cultural experience.

The students in 3/4H have spent the past few months learning and demonstrating their jive, rock 'n roll and disco dancing skills. They have had a lot of fun choreographing their routines and performing their dances in front of their peers. I've learnt a few new disco dance moves along the way too! Disco Fever 🕺

1/2C have been loving exploring the creative elements of poetry! We’ve been reading about the mysterious Triantiwontigongolope and even created our own ideas about what this creature might look like and where it might live.
Through the use of adjectives to describe their mysterious and cheeky critters, students have been building their skills and confidence in descriptive writing.
I can’t wait to see them continue this amazing work!

Year 2 had a splendid time 💦 over the past fortnight learning about how to be safe in the water and acquiring some very important swimming skills such as learning breathing techniques, correct head position, kicking drills, freestyle, backstroke and how to call for help in an emergency situation. They developed their confidence and made great progress in the water 🥽🏊♂️
Students built their endurance in the water and learned how to respond in different situations at the beach and pool. Mrs Abrahamian and Miss Kelly were there to assist and felt so proud of all our Year 2 students! 🩵

Congratulations to all our Easter hamper winners—we hope you enjoy your well-deserved treats! 🍫🐣
Thank you to our wonderful students, staff, and families for making the day so memorable. Happy Easter to our school community! 💛

1B has been having fun learning about multimodal texts and how information can be shared using words and images!
Together, we explored information from websites and created short informative texts about black rhinos, using exciting Tier 3 vocabulary.
Students also edited their work and shared their learning with peers.
Ask your child to share a cool rhino fact they learned!
