Huge congratulations to the Marsden Netball Team on their fantastic victory over Cammeraygal! The team delivered an outstanding performance, securing an impressive 42β18 win. Our defence was exceptional throughout the match, limiting the opposition's scoring opportunities and setting the foundation for a great team result.
A special thank you to Zoe.W, who stepped into the role of team mentor. Zoe's leadership has been invaluable throughout our training sessions and on game day.
Well done to everyone involved! GO MARSDEN! π

Last Friday, Marsden hosted its very first Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council, and what a wonderful morning it was. π»
Staff came together to enjoy a great spread of homemade treats, good company and the opportunity to support an important cause. Thanks to the generosity of our staff, we raised more than $1,000 for the Cancer Council.
A special thank you and huge congratulations to Ms Hadfield, Ms Atra, Ms Malik, Ms Fabian and Ms Gage for organising the event and for the incredible baking that helped make the morning such a success.
A huge shout out to all our hospitality students that were involved and helped immensely to make the day much more special.

Marsfest is almost here!
This Friday, our school will come together to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions and diversity that make our community so special.
Students can look forward to cultural performances, entertainment, food stalls, an extended lunch break and plenty of opportunities to learn about and celebrate the many backgrounds represented at Marsden. Students are also encouraged to wear cultural dress or appropriate jerseys to showcase their heritage and school spirit.
With great food, many performances and a fantastic community atmosphere, Marsfest promises to be one of the highlights of the year. We can't wait to see everyone get involved and make it a memorable celebration!
Please be advised that the canteen will be closed for the day.

Marsden High took the stage at last week, standing up for student voice and innovative ideas!
They presented two proposals - from prioritising public speaking to bringing gardening into schools - and led a powerful panel discussion about why young people must have a seat at the table in education. These students arenβt just future leaders - theyβre leaders right now! π
Thank you to Illuminate Education for facilitating this valuable opportunity for our students to share their voices on such an important platform!

A significant milestone for Marsden High School as we proudly hosted our inaugural Careers Expo, the first collaboration of its kind between Ryde Council and a local high school.
Students had the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from universities, training providers and support organisations, gaining valuable insights into future study, training and career pathways.
With exhibitors including Macquarie University, ACU, Western Sydney University, TAFE, apprenticeship organisations, Centrelink, Headspace and many others, the event provided students with a wealth of information to help them make informed decisions about their futures.
A special thank you to Ms Malik and Ms Jerez for their dedication and hard work in coordinating this event. Their efforts were instrumental in bringing together a diverse range of exhibitors and creating such a valuable opportunity for our students.
Thank you also to all organisations involved for supporting our students and helping make this landmark event a success.

Our 2026 Prefect Leadership Team Captains, Lucas.C and Ysabella.L, were recently recognised in the NSW Parliament following their participation in the 2026 Secondary Schools Student Leadership Program, with their achievements formally acknowledged in Hansard, the official record of parliamentary proceedings.
In a statement to Parliament, Member for Ryde Jordan Lane acknowledged Lucas and Ysabella's involvement in the program stating " I ask the House to join me in recognising Lucas.C and Ysabella.L of Marsden High School for their participation in the 2026 Secondary Schools Student Leadership Program at the Parliament of New South Wales. The program, delivered by the Parliament's Education and Engagement team in partnership with Government House, brings together student leaders from across New South Wales to learn about parliamentary democracy, civic leadership and the role of public service. Students are also given the opportunity to engage directly with Members of Parliament and participate in leadership discussions. Lucas and Ysabella were selected in recognition of the leadership they demonstrate within their school community. Their involvement reflects initiative, responsibility and a commitment to making a positive contribution to their peers and wider community. It was a pleasure to meet these emerging leaders and to see the insight and enthusiasm they brought to the program. They are fine representatives of Marsden High School and of the Ryde electorate. As the Member for Ryde, I congratulate Lucas and Ysabella on this achievement and wish them every success in their future endeavours."
Congratulations, Lucas and Ysabella, on this outstanding recognition and for representing Marsden High School with pride.
