Running our wedding communities which have over 120,000 wedding planning couples is not easy.
And after reviewing thousands of proposal stories over the years, we’ve had to make a difficult (but necessary) decision.
From today, if your proposal lacks drama, structure, or cinematic ex*****on… you will be required to organise a re-proposal before posting your wedding.
To avoid unnecessary rework, we are now introducing a mandatory Proposal Pre-Approval Process.
We want to ensure your proposal is executed correctly the first time.
🎬 PROPOSAL PRE-APPROVAL (REQUIRED)
Before proposing, you must submit your plan for approval.
This includes:
• Location and setup concept (photos or references required)
• Planned “moment” (how the proposal unfolds step-by-step)
• Styling elements (florals, candles, props, etc.)
• Capture plan (photographer/videographer positioning)
• Expected emotional outcome (please start re-planning if you don’t expect the current proposal format will get tears)
Once submitted, our team will review and either:
✔ Approve your proposal
⚠ Request adjustments before ex*****on
❌ Reject and recommend a full redesign
Unapproved proposals may be classified as Low Production Proposals (LPP) and may not be accepted for posting.
📝 POST-PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
After your proposal is executed, to maintain your membership in the group you will still need to submit:
Step 1: Final photos/videos
Step 2: Proposal Story Breakdown (minimum 300 words)
Step 3: Select your category:
• Classic Romantic
• Luxury Experience
• Destination
• Surprise / Performance-Based
🧾 PROPOSAL AUDIT & SCORING
All completed proposals will undergo a final audit by the Proposal Standards Team, a new department of Beautiful Australian Weddings.
• Planning & ex*****on
• Emotional engagement
• Overall “wow factor”
You will receive one of the following outcomes:
✔ Approved for posting
⚠ Approved with notes
❌ Re-Proposal Required
⏳ TRANSITION PERIOD
If you are already engaged, you will have a 30-day grace period to submit a retrospective plan and organise a compliant re-proposal.
Failure to comply may result in:
• Post removal
• Limited group visibility
• Being asked to rework your story before sharing
We understand this is a big change…
but it’s part of elevating the overall standard of weddings shared in this community.
