Can You Help?

Some of our families at Carson Street School in East Victoria Park are facing incredibly difficult circumstances, including illness, homelessness, family crises and financial hardship.

For families already navigating the challenges of raising children with significant disabilities, these circumstances can make an already difficult situation even harder. Some of our families are now struggling to put nutritious meals on the table and are in genuine need of support.

We would love to help these families by providing wholesome, nutritious food and essential supplies on a regular basis.

If you are able to donate food or essential items, we would be incredibly grateful. Even adding a few extra items to your shopping trolley can make a huge difference to a family doing it tough. Every contribution, big or small, can help put a meal on the table and let a family know that their community cares.

Donations can be dropped off at the school. If you are making a significant donation, we may be able to arrange collection where possible. Please keep in mind that we are a school, so our ability to collect donations is limited and we may not always be available to do so.

Quiz Night Alert!

Carson Street School Quiz Night is basically the social event of the century (don’t argue, we’ve decided). Tables are disappearing faster than snacks in the staff room, so if you haven’t booked yours yet, this is your gentle nudge… okay fine, it’s a shove. Sprint, don’t walk, and grab your table before they’re all gone and you’re left dramatically sighing into the void.

🚨 PLAYGROUND EMERGENCY! (WE REPEAT: THE SLIDE IS NOT OKAY.) 🚨

Here at Carson Street School, our playground has officially reached its "I've fallen and I can't get up" era.

The soft fall is about as soft as stepping on LEGO. The shade sails provide roughly the same protection as standing behind a lamppost. And the slide? Well... it now squeaks in a pitch that sounds suspiciously like a tiny cry for help.

If playgrounds could talk, ours would be muttering, "I'm too old for this," every time a child climbed aboard.

That's why we're hosting a Quiz Night on Saturday, 5th September 2026 to raise funds and give our playground the glow-up it desperately deserves. But we need your help!

We're looking for raffle and auction prizes. Got a spare yacht? A life-size cardboard cut-out of Chris Hemsworth? A framed portrait of your dog dressed as a lawyer? Excellent. We'll find a way to auction it.

Every donation helps us create a safe, inclusive and seriously fun play space for our students with disabilities, because our current playground has been through a lot. Frankly, if playgrounds had therapists, ours would have a standing weekly appointment.

As a thank you, we'll give your business the kind of social media attention usually reserved for surprise puppy videos, celebrity mishaps and babies laughing at absolutely nothing. Just send your logo (JPEG preferred) to [email protected].

Interested in sponsorship opportunities? Have a creative idea for a collaboration? We'd love to hear it.

And yes, we also accept bribes in the form of coffee and baked goods.
