Today was the final day of Book Week! Although Book Week has come to an end, we certainly went out with a bang! 🎉

We had lots of Spider-Men, Elsas, Annas, mermaids, The Wiggles and so many more wonderful characters join us for one last day of book-inspired fun! 🕷️🧜‍♀️📖✨

A huge thank you to all our families and children for making Book Week such a magical and memorable week! We have loved seeing everyone’s amazing costumes and celebrating our love of books together. ❤️📚

Look at our amazing Book Week creation! 🌟

This week, the Ladybugs have been working very hard to create this very special caterpillar. 🐛💚 The children have shown such a strong interest in The Very Hungry Caterpillar, making this the perfect follow-on experience!

A big thank you to one of our wonderful trainee educators Emily in the Ladybug room for coming up with this creative idea and bringing it to life! 🎨✨

Connect 4 🔴🟡

Today the Grasshoppers challenged Ash to a game of Connect 4! The aim was to get four in a row.

The children all took turns placing their counters into the game and had lots of fun trying to work out where to put them next. They were very excited to play against Ash and even more excited to make sure I didn’t win! 😂

It was a fun little game that encouraged turn-taking, concentration and problem-solving skills. 💛

Book Week – Day 3 📚✨

Today we’ve had an amazing range of characters come to life! We’ve seen princesses, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Minecraft characters, Minions, Rainbow Fish, Anna and Elsa, Wednesday, witches, Little Red Riding Hood, Thomas the Tank Engine and so many more!

But the best one of all… we had a SHARK! 🦈 😄

Today at Fieldsend ELC, we transformed into a fantastic range of superheroes and much-loved characters! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

We had Wiggles, Spider-Man, princesses, Minions, Little Red Riding Hood, K-pop Demon characters, puppies, Batman, Woody, Belle, Moana and so many more! 💕📖

Mini MasterChef 👩‍🍳✨

Today we had Spider-Man, a princess, Buzz Lightyear, Snow White and even AC/DC take over our kitchen for a very special Mini MasterChef experience! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

The children used all their magic powers to sprinkle the cheese, spread the ham and carefully roll their scrolls before placing them onto the tray. ✨

Book Week Day 1 📚✨

Today, Fieldsend ELC was transformed into a magical world of characters! 🌟 We had an amazing range of costumes, including Iron Man, a vampire, Snow White, Elsa, Spider-Man, Buzz Lightyear, Bluey, Alice in Wonderland, Skye, a skeleton, Annabelle, Spider-Girl and so many more! 🦸‍♀️🧛‍♂️👸🕷️

The children had so much fun showing off their costumes, sharing their favourite characters and celebrating the magic of books and storytelling together. 📖💫

What a wonderful way to kick off Book Week 2026! ❤️📚

Science Week Recap! 🔬🧪🌈

What an exciting Science Week we’ve had at the Centre! 🧪✨

This year, the children had the opportunity to explore a huge range of fun and engaging science experiments, encouraging them to wonder, predict, investigate and discover how things work.

From lemon fizz , sink or float, volcanoes, colour surprises, sensory bottles, rain in a jar, oil and food dye experiments, baking soda reactions, exploding bags, exploding monsters, the Coke experiment, dancing milk, rainbow walks, rubbery eggs, galaxy sensory bags, Skittle experiments, worm sensory pouches and so much more!

It has been wonderful watching the children get involved, make predictions, ask questions and enjoy discovering the science behind each experiment. 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

A huge thank you to our amazing educators for creating such exciting learning experiences and to all our children for making Science Week so much fun! 💕🔬
