True Character Acting School

True Character Acting School A local acting school for young people aged from 8 to 12. CLASSES BEGIN TERM 2, 16TH APRIL 2024.

Build self-confidence in a safe, fun, and professional environment while at the same time learning the art of performance. True Character Acting School is founded by experienced educator, Michael Brandt, a current teacher at Kew High School. Michael is currently the Leader of the Art Faculty and director of the School Production at Kew High School and in 2021 Michael was awarded the prestigious Teaching Excellence Award by Drama Victoria for the Victorian Performing Arts Teacher of the Year. Michael has been teaching acting, drama, and theatre studies for 18 years, with 10 of those years being at Kew High School. He is an extremely passionate teacher whose goal it has been to inspire young people to grow their self-confidence through the medium of performance. With over 30 years of experience on stage Michael combines a wealth of real industry knowledge with the specialist understanding that an experienced teacher brings. This is evident in the specialised acting lessons that he facilitates weekly at True Character Acting School. TUESDAYS 5pm-6pm, Ages 8-12
