📚 Children’s Book Week is almost here.

This year’s theme is Symphony of Stories, and it’s a beautiful way to think about reading.

Every book has its own rhythm. Every character brings a different voice, and every story adds something new to a child’s imagination. 🎶📖

Children’s Book Week 2026 runs from 22 to 28 August, presented by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.

We can’t wait to see the stories our students connect with this year. 💜

🌟 RLC Student Leaders in Action! 🌟

Our RLC Student Leadership Team has been working hard this term to raise funds that can be reinvested back into our students through special outings, activities, resources and new opportunities across the school.

These students have been helping to plan, promote and run our fundraising events, developing valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, responsibility and service to their school community along the way. 💙

Sometimes the most important words a child hears are, “I’m listening.”

Knowing someone will take the time to listen gives children the confidence to ask questions, speak up, have another go and simply be themselves.

That sense of safety and belonging helps every child grow, not only in the classroom, but as a person.

Our Mamu Language and Culture students are bringing home a very special clay gift today!

Students have been learning about Mamu kinship and the importance of family. They designed and created a clay bowl or cup for someone special, using symbols and patterns to tell the story of their relationship.

We hope you enjoy this thoughtful handmade gift and take a moment to ask your child about the special person they chose and the meaning behind their design. 🧡
