"I'm in your circle and control every movement before you do it". Welcome to another Throwback Thursday folks. This week we find 10th Degree Grandmaster Henry Sue explaining speed and movement. So how fast is he? Just a little bit faster than you!
Henry Sue Circular Tong Long
The future of Kung Fu Today. Unique and practical fighting style with devastating power Our school was founded in 1958 and established in Brisbane, Australia.
We are the oldest Kung Fu school in Australia and for over 50 years our schools have grown throughout the country and abroad. The Circular Praying Mantis Style of Kung Fu is foundered by 9th Degree Grand Master, Henry Sue (Sifu).
Ahh, the thrill of the takedown. Master Jay takes a few minutes after class to take a blue belt to the floor. It's all part of the fun at Monday night training. So where are you???
"Do I hit there? No, I hit there!" Tai Chi for exercise? Nuh Uh! Grandmaster Sue demonstrates the fighting application of Tai Chi. An art that on the surface expresses soft 'Yin' energy is also capable of producing devastating hard 'Yang' energy when chi and speed are applied. It is only when both Yin and Yang energies are mastered and in balance will you truly understand the depth of Tai Chi. If you are interested in learning more and for those in the southeast Queensland area, Grandmaster Sue will be teaching a seminar on the art of fighting with Tai Chi on Saturday the 25th of July. DM for more details or visit the website. Everyone including beginners, are welcome.
Bravo, bravissimo! Make way for the factotum, Grandmaster Henry Sue. A dab hand at many things including moving like lightening and making flooring an opponent appear as effortless as swatting a bug.
"You made me do that". This is what happens when you give Grandmaster Sue your energy and he accepts it with a smile and hands it right back to you.. multiplied.
Don't you just love a good Throwback? This week we're feeling the burn at Master's training. Achieving master level in Yuen Mo Pai or Circular Tong Long is a journey that takes on average around 10 years. It's a long climb but once you feel the thrill of how much energy you can produce with such little effort, the love for this art is a burn that will never leave you.
"Let it go. Let it go. Let it go. Let the energy come out." 10th Degree Grandmaster Henry Sue, the legend, explains how energy increases when you relax. The more you let go, the harder your strike. The more you pair and manipulate soft and hard energy, the closer you come to generating deadly power. This is the universal law of Yin and Yang applied to a martial art.
