NAPLAN - the conversation of the week!

Practice papers and revision will surely help calm the nerves. It’s been proven that the more exposure students have to certain circumstances, such as working under exam conditions, can truly be a influential factor in allowing them to succeed in an environment that is calming and familiar 😌📖

Brain Breaks ✨

The goal of brain breaks for kids is to help the brain shift focus. Sometimes that means getting up and moving, especially if kids have been sitting for a while 📖

By using a brain break, we can encourage the brain to become more engaged by using small bouts of mind/body challenges.

Brain breaks have been proven to improve cognitive skills, increase brain activity and encourage social and emotional growth 🎓

NAPLAN PREP ✅

There are times when students get tired of doing the same structured paper exam to prep for NAPLAN.

Did you know NAPLAN is made up of 4 key areas ?

*Language conventions
*Reading comprehension
*Writing
*Mathematics

You can always split up the tasks so that your kids are still completing the required skill set but not feeling so overwhelmed with constant exam booklets.

We suggest a ratio of 4 activities to 1 exam paper!
