These incredible moments are from a Class 7 journey to New Zealand, where students took on the spectacular Tongariro Alpine Crossing — experiencing its volcanic landscape, turquoise lakes and rugged terrain together. 🗻

Class trips are an important part of the learning journey at Lorien Novalis, offering students opportunities to step beyond the familiar, experience the natural world firsthand, meet challenges and build independence, resilience and connection with one another.

From mountain crossings to sailing the east coast of Australia, learning extends far beyond the classroom throughout our High School years.

Under some of Australia’s darkest skies…✨ This past week, Class 7 journeyed to the breathtaking Warrumbungles for their annual Astronomy trip, where learning extends far beyond the classroom.

With -5°C mornings, star-filled nights, and days immersed in nature, students experienced the rhythms and vastness of the universe firsthand. Camping beneath the Milky Way, observing the night sky, and exploring one of Australia’s premier dark sky regions brings their astronomy studies to life in a way no textbook ever could. 🌙
