Our Gorgeous Gumnuts Educators have been gradually adding special vintage, eclectic, natural and repurposed pieces to their room to ignite a strong sense of magic and whimsy for our littlest learners.

In celebration of International Nurses Day, the lovely Lilly Pillie’s children worked together to create a thank you sign for our wonderful Nurses. 🩷

Educators spoke with the children about how nurses help people when they are sick or hurt and care for them to help them feel better. The children explored different materials, shared ideas and participated in discussions about the important people within our community who help keep us safe and healthy.

Today, we celebrate all kinds of mums — the mothers, grandmothers, stepmums, foster mums, chosen mums, and the nurturing hearts who love and care so deeply every day.

We also hold space for those who find today difficult — those who have lost their mum, lost a child, long to become a mother, or carry grief quietly in their hearts.

Mother’s Day can bring joy, love, remembrance, and sadness all at once. Wherever this day finds you, may you feel seen, supported, and surrounded by kindness.
