Welcome to Dulwich Hill Early Learning Centre and Preschool 🌿

We provide high-quality education and care for children aged from six months to school age across four developmentally based learning environments.

Our educators work in partnership with families to support each child’s transition from their home environment into the service. By incorporating Attachment Theory and the Circle of Security approach into everyday practice, educators ensure that every child feels safe, nurtured, valued, and supported.

Our purpose-built learning environments have been thoughtfully designed to create a natural progression throughout the early childhood years. This multi-tiered approach encourages children’s emerging independence, supports the development of new skills and knowledge, and empowers children to take safe risks as they learn to navigate their world.

Our outdoor learning environments immerse children in nature, encouraging them to explore, discover, and engage with natural elements through play, while also developing an understanding of how to care for and respect the world around them.

🐾 At Marrickville Rd Preschool, our curious little learners have been exploring the wonderful world of veterinary care! 🐾

This week, we were excited to welcome the vet nurse, who shared how they help animals stay happy, healthy, and safe. The children discovered the importance of regular check-ups, caring for injuries with bandages, and showing kindness and gentleness to our furry friends. 🩺🐶

A highlight of the week was a special visit from Bobbie our preschool dog! 🐕💛 Bobbie helped the children build confidence, practise calm interactions, and learn how to care for animals with patience and respect.

Hands-on experiences like these inspire empathy, responsibility, and meaningful learning through play. 🌟

Are you a passionate and reliable Early Childhood Educator looking for something consistent and rewarding?

We have an exciting full-time block placement opportunity from June to September, working across our beautiful service in Dulwich Hill.

This role offers stability, full-time hours, and the chance to be part of a supportive and collaborative team, all while working on casual rates with additional WRG support.

✔ Certificate III, Diploma, or working towards an ACECQA-approved ECEC qualification
✔ Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
✔ Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain)
✔ Child Protection Certificate
✔ Food Handling Certificate
✔ Current Resume
✔ Two Profesional Refrences
✔ GECCKO Training Certificate (or willingness to obtain if required)

🚒 Today, our preschool children had the wonderful opportunity to participate in an educational visit from our local firefighters. 🚒
This hands-on experience supported the children’s understanding of community roles and the importance of safety in meaningful and memorable ways.

The firefighters spoke with the children about their vital role in keeping the community safe, introducing key fire safety concepts in an age-appropriate and engaging manner. Children learned what to do in the event of a fire at home, including how to recognise danger, alert a trusted adult, and call for emergency assistance.

Experiences like this promote children’s awareness of personal safety, build trust in community helpers, and empower them with knowledge they can apply in real-life situations.
