🕯️🔬 Science Is All About Exploring, Wondering & Trying Again! 🔬🕯️
Today, our children took part in an exciting, hands-on science experience as they explored a candle and water experiment. We placed a candle in water and carefully covered it with a glass jar before watching closely to see what would happen.
Interestingly, the experiment didn’t work exactly as we expected—and that became an important part of our learning!
Together, we discussed how experiments don’t always have the result we predict. Just like real scientists, we can observe, wonder, ask questions, make predictions, try things out and try again. The children shared their ideas about why the candle went out and talked about the changes they noticed inside the jar.
This experience supported:

✨ Curiosity & confidence – giving children the confidence to wonder, experiment and explore without needing to get the “right” answer every time.
🔥 Fire safety - allowed for to explore fire safety in a group discussion in a safe way.
We love showing children that there is no failure in science—every result gives us something new to learn!
