Annie Bannie, Bannikins, Banannie β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ 2005 - 2026 πͺ½πͺ½πͺ½
We had to say goodbye to my beautiful Annie yesterday, such an incredible soul with an enormous heart. The most wonderful nature and so gentle despite her enormous frame, the best keeper of the peace in the paddock, the most power over the jumps, the sweetest nicker when she saw me, and the kids π₯° even to the very end.
Annie and I had a wonderful career together when I got home from America, jumping up to 1.40m and in plenty of futurities and at the big shows - SIEC, WC shows, Sydney Royal - and also carried my student to some amazing performances in junior classes while I was pregnant.
Then she became a mother herself, producing her only foal by Calgary GNZ, a gelding called LE Calvyn who is following in her footsteps and making great progress in the jumping arena.
She was an amazing friend and comforter to me, even with her fire breathing antics in the warmup ring (could only jump a few jumps before she was leaping in the air or going sideways) and was never easy to drench or give anything in the mouth to (I was the only one who could do it, one time she wouldn't even let anyone else put a bridle on her), but she always gave her best effort and tried her hardest for me. She loved cuddles and scratches and carrots. She loved the kids giving her pats and would always be gentle with them, and was the best babysitter of the youngsters these past few years, even though her own baby had moved on.
I love you more than I can say, my beautiful girl, I wish we had more time together, but I'm so grateful we had 13 years together, and you will be in my heart forever β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

So proud of this kid from the bush, Ruby Josephs, whom I'm so privileged to coach and work with.
Not only did she win her division at Equimillions last year (and a cool $15k), she did it on her TB that she bought for low $$ and trained herself from an off track TB.
She's kind to her horses, and to others, always easy to get along with, coachable and easy going, plus hardworking and never complains.
She deserves all the success she receives, and whilst there are plenty of rounds that go ribbonless, she got it right with a cracking round this morning at North & North-West showjumpings indoor championships in Tamworth, to stop the clock the fastest out of a large field.
Congratulations Ruby, enjoy these times and remember the lessons you learn in the ring, stay humble and keep trying, so excited to watch your journey and help you along the way π₯°πππͺπ΄

Finally!!! After more than ten years after I started π«£π¬π€« I've finally sent in all of my assessments to gain my Level 2 showjumping coaching accreditation!!
Thank you to all of the amazing coaches and mentors I've had along the way. I have truly enjoyed my coaching journey and I hope as the years tick by that I get more perspective, understanding and insight to help the horse people that I know and love, as well as give new horse riders the confidence to start a noble and worthy passion that we are lucky and privileged to already enjoy!! π
Just FYI as well, I'm also an SSTA assessor, which means if you are a budding equestrian coach or would just like to have some accreditation and acknowledgement for your riding and horse management skills (could come in handy if you're after a job in a professional stable), I can also guide you through the process to attain your introductory horse management, riding and coaching certificates issued through Equestrian Australia and backed by the National
Coaching Accrefitation Scheme (NCAS).
Contact me via messenger, or you can find my number on www.Lloydequestrian.com

Two Lady Riders Cracked the World Top 10 for the First Time in a Decade
Equestrian is the only Olympic sport where men and women compete on equal footing. But youβd never know it from the show jumping world rankings. Only one female rider, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, has ever reached the elusive world number 1 spotβand that was over 20 years ago in 2004. (File under...
