If there’s a costume that needs just one more rhinestone, an extra ruffle, a little more sparkle or something completely outrageous brought to life… Sonya is our girl. 💎

From the first sketch to the final finishing touch, so many of our most unforgettable Stepping Out looks have come from her incredible imagination (and many, MANY hours behind the sewing machine!).

Today, Sonya is opening the archives and sharing some of her favourite creations from over the years. Although asking her to choose favourites may have been our hardest challenge yet.

From dreaming up the concept, to costumes, characters, locations and bringing each year’s story to life, our concert photoshoots are always one of our favourite parts of the journey.

Choosing just a few favourites was almost impossible… but these ones will always have a little piece of Miss Immy’s heart. 🤍

It’s Week 5 and we are about to embark on Concert 2026. We are getting a lot of queries in regards for both 2026 and BEYOND and we really appreciate your interest. A common question , “ IS IT TOO LATE TO JOIN?” and the answer is a resounding “ No! It’s the perfect time”

From her first trophy to her latest, it’s been a joy to have danced through her milestones with her. Big congratulations to Willow who was awarded 2nd in the Hip Hop Championship at Wellington Eisteddfod. We couldn’t be prouder of that little girl who is growing into the most spectacular human. We have arrived in Orange for our final day of Eisteddfods for Performance Season. Tomorrow our 10s and 12s will dance their hearts out! We can’t wait for all that is waiting BEYOND for us with our 2026 Classical Ballet exams, cast reveal and commencement of rehearsals Stepping Out Dance Factory
