Dubbo West Preschool is a four room centre, that is managed by a Parent & Community Management Committee. We have a staff of 25 dedicated professionals.
Dubbo West Preschool believes that high quality early childhood education is achieved through a combination of play based learning and the intentional teaching of structured programs. We have designed our Preschool programs to offer meaningful experiences which build on the children’s own knowledge, strengths, interests and developing skills. A strong focus is set on developing independence and ensuring a smooth transition to school, a formal educational setting.

✨ Thank a First Responder Day at RFDS Dubbo ✨
Today we welcomed a special visit to the RFDS Dubbo Base from Dubbo West Preschool for Thank a First Responder Day. 💙
Maisie-May and Miss Megan stopped by on behalf of their preschool community to deliver gifts, with our very own Medical Officer Katherine Holleran and Flight Nurse, Samantha Baddock graciously accepting.
The gifts included goodie bags and a beautiful handmade card created by children from the Wednesday class, with Monday/Tuesday classes helping decorate the bags. 🎨
Before visiting, the children learned about the vital role first responders play, including how the Flying Doctor supports people across rural, regional and remote Australia, delivering emergency and essential healthcare where needed most.
It’s wonderful to see young learners gaining an understanding of our important work, while showing such kindness and gratitude.
Thank you to Dubbo West Preschool for your thoughtful gesture, it truly brightened our team’s day! 🌟

Our Preschool children have been learning about First Responders and the important role they play in our community. Working collaboratively, each classroom created a piece of artwork to show our appreciation. Today, we had some helpers deliver a few special packages as a heartfelt thank you for all that they do.

Don’t forget to drop into the pavilion if you go to Dubbo show to have a look at some of the children’s creations. We have some collages, murals, bead work, recycled craft and some food necklaces and on show.
