๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Our Year 3 students recently attended a Lunch and Learn session with Tory Curran from ACON, NSW's leading organisation supporting HIV prevention and LGBTQ+ health.

The session explored telehealth services available in rural communities and provided valuable insight into improving access to healthcare. Students appreciated the relaxed and engaging format, which encouraged discussion and learning.

Thank you to Tory for sharing your knowledge and helping students gain a greater understanding of healthcare access and support services available across regional NSW. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ Life outside of Medicine, you ask?

1st year medical student Kiara recently took on the challenge of Ultra Trail Australia in the Blue Mountains, competing in not one, but two races! ๐Ÿ‘

Kiara ran the 11km event with her dad and younger sister before backing it up with an impressive 51km race alongside her dad.

What an incredible achievement. Well done, Kiara! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’›โค๏ธ Staff and students recently came together in Dubbo to acknowledge National Sorry Day and the beginning of National Reconciliation Week through a shared lunch focused on reflection, connection and reconciliation.

The gathering provided an opportunity to honour the Stolen Generations, reflect on the importance of reconciliation in healthcare and education, and recognise the role we all play in creating culturally safe and inclusive communities.

The event concluded with the Wiradjuri value of Yindyamarra โ€“ respect, honour and kindness โ€“ encouraging us all to carry these values beyond Reconciliation Week.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this meaningful gathering. ๐Ÿ™Œ
