☀️ A little adventure in the sunshine!

Our children had a wonderful time heading out on an excursion to the mall today! We enjoyed a beautiful walk through our local community, taking in the sunshine, practising our road safety skills and exploring our surroundings. 🌳☀️

And what better way to finish our little adventure than with a special treat, a cinnamon donut! 🍩

Our Construction Area has been a busy place for little builders! 🦺👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

With dirt to dig, trucks to drive, tyres to climb and plenty of tools and materials to explore, the children are encouraged to get hands-on and immerse themselves in imaginative construction play.

Through this space, children are developing coordination, problem-solving, creativity and teamwork while having plenty of opportunities to explore, build, dig and create together.

Deepening Our Understanding of Communication 💬

Tonight, our educators had our first professional learning session with an allied health Speech Pathologist, focused on deepening our knowledge of language development and communication in the early years. 💡

We know that strong language and communication skills are an important foundation for children’s learning, relationships, confidence and ability to express their needs and ideas.

This session gave our team further insight into how language develops and how we can continue to strengthen our everyday practice to support each child’s individual communication journey. 🌱💛

To celebrate Dental Health Week, we have a tooth brush, tooth paste and sticker packs available for children to take home while stocks last.

Good oral hygiene starts early!
Brushing teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and visiting the dentist regularly are simple ways to help keep little smiles healthy and strong 😁

Open-ended play like this encourages children to build confidence, develop communication skills, strengthen fine motor skills and make sense of the world around them - all while having plenty of fun in the fresh air! 💚
