The competition is held in conjunction with the Rabobank National Merino Show, with judging taking place on Wednesday August 12th.

Planning a trip to the Rabobank National Merino Show?
Here's a taste of what's on offer at this year's event!

Judging of the Merino Show will kick off on Tuesday August 11th at 8:30am and we'll finish the day off with the sashing of the highly coveted Rabobank Australian Supreme Merino Ram.

All the fun continues on Wednesday August 12th with a packed schedule of more Merino Show judging, the Young Judge Competition, Guest Speakers and the NSW State Flock Ewe Finals.

Make sure to drop by the Dubbo Showground and check it out!

🏆 The AWN Open Fleece Show is on again!

Held in conjunction with the Rabobank National Merino Sheep Show, the Open Fleece Show brings together some of the best fleeces you'll see from across the country.
There are sections for housed, unhoused and flock growers.

Entries close 7am Tuesday 11th August, 2026 - but early entries are appreciated!

🏆 NSW STATE FLOCK EWE FINALS 🏆

The Rabobank National Merino Sheep Show will again host some of the top commercial Merino flocks from across NSW as they battle it out to claim bragging rights for the NSW State Flock Ewe Champion title.

More than $5,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs with awards for Overall Flock Pen, Champion Long Wool, Champion Short Wool and Champion Flock Ewe.
