ANZAC Day Morning Talk ~
Everyone has heard of the Cowra Breakout, the biggest military prison escape in modern history, and the site of the only land battle fought on Australian soil during WW2. However, what do you know about the important role that Cowra played in the overall war effort, or the reconciliation that has developed in subsequent years between the people of the town and the people of Japan? Join local historian Lawrance Ryan to learn more about this important part of Central West history and discover why, for Cowra, the effects of the Breakout have lasted for more than just one day.
7am start 25 April
Free event.
Creo Cafe will open at 6am
Funded by Create NSW
