At DUBBO PERSONALITIES class this week there were two interesting presentations from Zoe Walker (on left),solicitor from the Western NSW Legal Centre on end of life legal planning; and from Danielle Chapman (on right) with BaptistCare on options of home care services and retirement living. Two very important subjects and where to find assistance.

Last Wednesday our Dubbo U3A Current Affairs class welcomed Dr Pat Caldwell, Resident Dr at Dubbo Hospital. Pat spoke about what happens in the Emergency Department including the triage procedure, sequence of investigation and treatment options. He is highly qualified, having graduated with a law degree then making the switch to medicine. Pat also spoke about being prepared for a hospital admission and the importance of having an Advanced Care Directive prepared with your doctor. Attendees very much appreciated Pat’s frank and informative discussion.
