RESOURCE HUB-LIBRARY //
Book Week has taken us on a little adventure… and this expedition certainly got everyone involved!
We love celebrating the magic of books, reading and imagination with our students — and sometimes that means venturing out into the paddock!
Don’t worry… no animals were scared during this expedition!
A big thank you to our wonderful Resource Hub team Mrs Bruce and Miss Lappa for getting into the Book Week spirit!

SPORT // On Wednesday 19th August, our SJC netballers took to the court at the NSWCCC Netball Championships, with four teams representing the College and achieving some outstanding results! 💙💛❤️
🥈 Junior Girls – 2nd in their pool
🥈 Junior Boys – 2nd in their division

🥉 Intermediate Girls – 3rd in their pool
All four teams played exceptionally well throughout the championships, demonstrating great skill, teamwork and determination against some strong competition. A fantastic result and something our students should be very proud of!
A huge thank you to our coaches, Mrs McCarney, Mrs McIntosh and Mr Doyle, for their time, encouragement and support throughout the day. We also thank our student umpires, Amelia H, Abbey S and Ruby A, for their amazing umpiring skills, patience and professionalism.
Congratulations to all our players, coaches and umpires on a fantastic day of netball and for representing SJC with pride!

FAITH // Our Year 7 students were lucky enough to attend a Praise and Worship Day here in our hall run by Emmanuel Worship.
This team uses music and personal story to explore faith and allow students to do the same. We were joined by students from across the Diocese. It is always wonderful to see young people from across our Catholic schools in the same room with the same goal - to explore God in their lives.

PATHWAYS // 2026 Orana Youth Forum
Regional Development Australia Students attended the Orana Youth Forum at Charles Sturt University campus where they enjoyed discovering a range of pathways and career opportunities. Guest speaker, Dr Karl, inspired many with his knowledge of science. Students also heard from presenters about real estate, law, rural vet, women in construction and many more. The stalls presented by trade, universities and other organisations offered students an opportunity to develop their skills through hands on activities, Minecraft and Virtual Reality.
