The past few months have been incredibly rewarding as I've had the opportunity to travel to multiple communities, including Richmond, Lismore, Armidale, Lightning Ridge, Cobar (twice!), Forbes, Newcastle, Bathurst, Dubbo and Liverpool, to deliver Mental Health First Aid® training.

MHFA is an interactive and practical course where participants can develop the skills and confidence needed to approach and support a person who may be experiencing a mental health problem. These skills are transferable to the workplace, home and community. People who complete the course report that they feel empowered to recognise, connect, understand, and respond to others who are experiencing mental health problems.

It's an immense privilege to be welcomed into diverse communities to facilitate this crucial training. The positive feedback has been invaluable and confirms the importance of these educational initiatives.

If you recognise the critical role that mental health plays in the well-being of your community, let’s collaborate. Schedule a Mental Health First Aid® training session for your community today. Together, we can foster safer, more supportive environments.

A Huge Thank You to Cobar Shire Council for Prioritising Employee Mental Health!

We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Cobar Shire Council for their unwavering commitment to the mental health and well-being of their staff.

Last week the council provided all employees with the opportunity to attend mental health awareness training presented by Libby Wilson from Croydon Training and Consulting.

By investing in their staff's mental health, Cobar Shire Council has demonstrated their dedication to creating a supportive and healthy work environment for everyone. The training has not only equipped employees with invaluable knowledge, but also helped foster a culture of empathy, understanding, and resilience within the team.

Thank you, Cobar Shire Council, for leading by example and prioritising the wellbeing of your team members. Your efforts have a lasting impact, and we are confident that this initiative will inspire other organisations to follow suit.

Let's continue to raise awareness about the importance of mental health in the workplace and work together to break the stigma surrounding mental health!
