Yesterday, our Year 6 students participated in a Peer Support Training Day, preparing them for their role as peer leaders within our school community.
Peer Support Australiaโs program helps students develop leadership, communication, teamwork and wellbeing skills while supporting younger students to build positive relationships and a sense of belonging.
We are proud of the enthusiasm and leadership our Year 6 students demonstrated throughout the day and look forward to seeing them lead with confidence this year. We are also very grateful to Mrs Kenny who coordinated the day and will work closely with Year 6 as they take on these leadership roles throughout semester 2.

The carnival was filled with energy, determination, house spirit, and plenty of memorable moments. Congratulations to McAuley House, who were crowned our 2026 Athletics Carnival Champions! ๐โค๏ธ
While McAuley took home the trophy, every house should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Throughout the day, students displayed outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and encouragement, both on and off the track.
It was wonderful to see students challenging themselves, cheering on their peers, and representing their houses with pride. A huge thank you to our staff, students, families, and volunteers who helped make the day such a success.

What a wonderful evening of African food, community and service at St Brigid's Second Thursday Dinner last night.
A huge thank you to many generous SJP families who provided the meal, and to our Year 6 leaders, Camille, Henoch, Molly and Skyli, who embraced the opportunity to serve others with enthusiasm. From setting tables and serving meals to cleaning up, drying countless plates and sorting cutlery, we were all kept very busy throughout the evening!
A special shout out also to younger students: Chim, Chino, Kene and Kosi, who eagerly helped in the kitchen. We are so proud of these students and their willingness to help our parish community.

๐ถ Dubbo City Eisteddfod 2026 ๐ถ
Congratulations to our St John's Primary Choir who represented our school beautifully at the Dubbo City Eisteddfod today.
Nearly 60 students from Years 3โ6 took to the stage to perform Seize the Day and Somewhere Only We Know, earning an outstanding 2nd Place in a highly competitive field.
We are incredibly proud of the commitment, teamwork and musicianship our students demonstrated throughout the rehearsal process and in today's performance. Their hard work was evident on stage and they should be very proud of their achievement and the sophistication of their performance.
A sincere thank you to Mrs Clifford for her beautiful accompaniment.
Congratulations also to all schools who participated. It was wonderful to see so many students sharing their love of music and performance.
Well done, Choir! ๐ต๐
