Our excursions are full of real learning, children engaging with the people and places that make up our local community.

When we head out, we’re always thinking:

What does your child already know?

From there, we gently extend their thinking, sometimes in the moment, sometimes later when the timing is right.

On simple walks, children notice signs, buildings, tools and how everyday places work.

Some children are fascinated, others simply observe and that’s exactly how learning happens.

These experiences act like learning hooks.

You never know what will spark curiosity until children are given the chance to explore the world around them.
