On Tuesday, 5 of our students took up the opportunity to referee at the West Gippsland Primary School Basketball Tournament. It was a big day with non-stop refereeing from 9.45am-2.45pm. The schools involved were complimentary of their performance and the consistency they showed throughout each game. We are very proud to see each student display our school values and represent DSC in such a mature and professional manner.

Drouin Secondary College Year 10 Japanese students recently enjoyed a Japanese Immersion Day at Marist-Sion College! Stepping outside their comfort zones, our students enthusiastically participated in fun and engaging activities alongside Marist students who are also learning Japanese.
These immersion experiences allow our students to connect with peers from neighbouring schools, share their language learning journeys, exchange ideas, and build new friendships with others who share a passion for Japanese language and culture.
A huge ARIGATO! to the staff and students at Marist-Sion College for making the day such an enjoyable and memorable experience!
A special shout-out also goes to for preparing delicious obento boxes for the event!

Our Year 9 Japanese students travelled to the city to participate in a DIY Teppanyaki Workshop, where they learned how to cook Okonomiyaki (Japanese savoury pancakes), Yakisoba (stir fried noodles), and Yakimeshi (fried rice) on a traditional teppan (hot plate).

This hands on experience gave students the opportunity to put their classroom learning into practice while studying our Ordering at a Japanese Restaurant unit. There were plenty of laughs along the way. Although a few dishes were a little more well done than intended, every meal turned out delicious đŸ˜„

A huge ARIGATO! to the wonderful staff at for delivering another fun, engaging, and memorable workshop for our students. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support over the past three years, and we look forward to visiting again next year!
