Supporting Olivia’s Place 💜

We were so fortunate to support Olivia’s Place through our Christmas in July donation drive, and we are so excited to continue strengthening this wonderful partnership throughout the year.

We now have a permanent donation collection bin in our foyer, making it easy for our Grant Street families, educators and community to continue supporting Olivia’s Place all year round.

If you have any essential items you would like to donate, simply drop them into our collection bin at Grant Street. Every donation, big or small, can make a meaningful difference to families who need support.

Thank you to our wonderful Grant Street community for always showing such incredible generosity. Together, we can continue to support this amazing organisation and the families they care for. 💕

A conversation can challenge the way we think. It can raise something we hadn't noticed. It can help us understand a different perspective.

But what happens next matters.

What can we change?
What support is needed?
Who needs to be involved?
What can we do differently?

This is where conversation becomes action.

And you don't need to have all the answers to start. Sometimes the most important thing you can say is:
“I'm not sure. Can we talk about it?”

Because a child-safe culture isn't built through one conversation. It's built through the conversations we keep having, and the action we take because of them.

Child safety conversations don't always look the way we expect.

Sometimes they're started by a question. Sometimes a change in behaviour. Sometimes it's an educator noticing that something feels different.

Our job is to notice, listen and make space for those conversations.

By connecting with the people and places around us, children build confidence, curiosity and lasting relationships with the communities they call home. That's why community connections are such an important part of life at Sparrow. 💛

It’s the quiet observations. The check ins between educators. The careful documentation. The conversations that happen behind the scenes to make sure every child is safe, supported and heard.

It’s constant, intentional and always centred on children.
