Happy Monday!
Our five new chilled water fountains have been installed and look fantastic!
I'm sure the kids will enjoy using them ๐Ÿ’ฆ
A thank you to the State Government for the $60,000 provided under the Small Scale Election Grant, with the remaining $10,000 for the installation provided by the building levy.

Our Pre-Kindy children enjoyed a special visit from one of our school parents, who generously volunteered his time to talk about his role as a police officer. The children were fascinated to learn about how police help keep our community safe and had lots of thoughtful questions to ask!

Experiences like these help strengthen the partnerships between families, educators, and the wider community, which are an important part of the Early Years Learning Framework. By sharing their knowledge, skills, and experiences, families enrich children's learning and help them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

A big thank you to our parent volunteer for making this such an engaging and memorable experience for our children! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿš“๐Ÿ˜Š

This sister now cries out to us because of the harm we have inflicted on her by our irresponsible use and abuse of the goods with which God has endowed her.

We have come to see ourselves as her lords and masters, entitled to plunder her at will. The violence present in our hearts, wounded by sin, is also reflected in the symptoms of sickness evident in the soil, in the water, in the air and in all forms of life.

Our Year 5s have been learning about the Laudato Si an encyclical letter by Pope Francis about caring for our common home. There is hope still in our future generations to make a difference.

National Reconciliation Week runs from the 27th of May to the 3rd of June. It is a special week in Australia when we learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their histories, cultures and contributions. This yearโ€™s theme is โ€œAll Inโ€, which calls on all Australians to actively and meaningfully commit to reconciliation in our everyday actions.
It is a time to think about how we can show respect, build stronger relationships and work together to make Australia a fairer place for everyone.
During this week, the students will reflect on the past and consider ways we can care for Country and support reconciliation in our daily lives.

Our Year 3 students have been learning about the gold rush and what the conditions were like for gold prospectors at the time. โ›๏ธ

Last week, they heard a rumour that there was real gold in the sandpit by the Nature Play. 3 Catherine and 3 Dominic went to investigate and found lots of gold!! ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ
