Our students had a fantastic day today celebrating NAIDOC on the Plateau alongside students from other schools across our region.

A HUGE thank you to all the organisers, Elders, presenters, and the Dorrigo Public School staff for so generously sharing your knowledge, culture, resources, and beautiful environment. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate together.

Congratulations to Evie and Jack, our winners of this term’s Glimmer Award draw!

A glimmer is the start of a spark - the beginning of a flame. These awards recognise students who are shining examples of character and kindness, lighting the way for others through our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, and Relationships. These values reflect the example of Jesus and the inspiring role model of Nano Nagle, whose compassion and courage continue to guide our community.

We were absolutely stunned by Evie’s beautiful contemporary dance performance today! It was a special preview ahead of our Student Leadership Team’s Talent Quest tomorrow, and if today’s performance is anything to go by, we’re in for an amazing show.

Join us tomorrow at 1:45 pm to cheer on our talented students as they showcase their incredible skills through whip cracking, magic acts, dances, puppet shows, skits, and so much more!

Visitors are warmly welcome to come along and celebrate the creativity, confidence and talent of our students.

Congratulations, Isaiah, on becoming a finalist in the Rocks Discovery Museum NAIDOC School Art Competition - 50 YEARS OF DEADLY Art competition.

"The artwork means a lot to me. Isaiah said, NAIDOC celebrates the ancestors of the land, and it's been going for 50 years. I put the posters there for every year of NAIDOC. NAIDOC is connected to National Sorry Day and helps us understand Aboriginal history and helps people understand why they are sorry."

We are so proud of Isaiah and his willingness to share his culture with us.
