Our teachers are inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner, which encourages teachers to assist their children to develop a life-long love of learning, a reverence for life and courage to live fully. Our school endeavours to educate equally the areas of academia, artistic expe

rience and practical skills (the head, heart and hands) in integrated ways. Through this balanced approach students are helped to develop clarity of thought, a sensitivity of feeling and a constructive, disciplined will. Teachers work creatively to generate not only a genuine inner enthusiasm for the world in each individual, but also a wonder-filled, creative mind. They also cultivate the child's moral life by teaching them respect for themselves and others. The social education of the children is enhanced through deepening their relationships with peers and teachers with whom (ideally) they work and grow for seven years developing an atmosphere of support, co-operation and commitment. A central part of the teacher’s task is to intimately understand the needs of each child, and to nurture the development of a real spirit. NPSS is co-educational, non-sectarian and non-denominational and allows all students, regardless of gender, race or religion, a broad educational experience. Steiner Education has been recognised and respected in Europe as a highly effective form of education for over 90 years. At present, there are around 2000 Steiner schools, kindergartens, universities and institutes of higher learning established world-wide.

Don't miss the FREE online parent education session tonight, Thursday August 27th, 7.30pm on Zoom.

Healthy Boundaries around Screens With Simplicity Parenting coach Mary Heard.

Steiner schools are Heart and Human-centred, developing capacities in the young child to meet the rapidly changing world we live in. How we protect our children in their formative years has profound implications as they grow up.
This workshop will cover:
* Practical ways to take control of screens in our households
* How to foster and maintain the important things in our children’s lives like connection, calm,
* Culture and sensitivity
* New outlooks on ways to view and understand the role of technology in family life

The age range focus will be from birth to 8 years but parents of older children will still find it useful.

TODAY is the day! 🎉 Our 30th Children's Festival kicks off at 10am and runs until 3pm at 86 Nyell Rd, Doonan. Free admission, live music, great food, market stalls, rides and activities for all ages.

Make sure to get your raffle tickets for the big draw, with the raffles drawn this afternoon!

Tomorrow is the big day! The weather is looking great, and we are in for another incredible Children's Festival.

A reminder that pre bought tickets/passes purchased up to and including 20 August can only be collected from the Info Tent on the main oval tomorrow.

Tickets and passes can be bought from the ticket desk near the hall or at the Info tent on the oval.
